The last few posts looked at technology and the digital realm, so let's get crafty today with an idea from Tatami Antiques, an independent online marketplace for Japanese antiquities that often offers intriguing textile pieces and ideas for fashion designers.
Among the latest offers on the site there is a purse made of a cotton and acetate sock with a geometrical motif. Reminiscent of conceptual fashion pieces such as Martin Margiela's glove bags, the sock purse is available from dealer Onen or, if you have time to spare and a forgotten sock at the bottom of a drawer that you particularly liked and you didn't have the heart to throw out, you can try and redo the sock purse by yourself as a Sunday craft project. Enjoy!
