In yesterday's post we looked at an intriguing volume about geometry, so let's continue the thread in connection with fashion. As we saw in previous posts, geometry can lead to wonderful inspirations for what regards shapes or patterns, in both clothes and accessories.
At the moment we are all craving a holiday in the sun that may never happen in between Coronavirus and a financial crisis caused by this pandemic that has brought many job cuts, so let's combine our desires for a bit of sun with a passion for geometry and look at these two geometrical tunic shirts from 1960.
The first one in white with a boat neck and kimono short sleeves was characterised by simple lines in turquoise and burnt orange, employed to create a minimalist decorative pattern and highlight the countours of the pockets, forming a square motif.
The second top with matching shorts featured slim elbow sleeves, side slits and a geometrical pattern - a print of triangles and rectangles in different sizes and in shades of lilac and pink on a white background. Both the designs were created by Italian brand Glans and we will discover more about it in the next post.
