It may be hard to find inspirations for creative projects, but sometimes ideas are just in front of us and we just need to open up our eyes a bit more. A great way is to start from what's around us, even the cracks in the walls or decaying materials.
Here are some examples: the first picture shows the door of the Church of the Holy Spirit in Venice (designed by architect Antonio Abbondi, also known as Scarpagnino), with its dark varnish peeling away and losing its original shades, revealing the layer underneath.
The second image portrays the walls and windows of another house in Venice, with several shades of red and orange fading away. Both the images can provide great ideas and inspirations, colour and structure-wise (think also laterally, about what may have caused decay - time passing, rain, wind and salt in the case of the door of the Church that overlooks the Giudecca Canal). Enjoy!
