So far I've just looked at Italian yarn manufacturers at Pitti Filati. Yet there were also producers from other countries at the fair.
This is for example the "wall of inspirations" presented by Hasegawa Corporation, a Japanese company specialised in silk raw materials, silk yarns, circular knitted silk jerseys and woven/nonwoven fabrics.
While being maybe smaller and more minimalist than other stands, Hasegawa's still proved inspirational thanks to all its swatches and yarns decorating its walls like laundry hung out to dry.
The stand also allowed visitors to learn interesting facts such as the difference between cultivated mulberry silk (the yarn of silkworms raised inside for industry use) and tussah silk (the yarn of silkworms grown in the mountains) or what is noil silk yarn (a spun short fiber - 1cm~2cm - that can not be used for the material of spun silk yarn).
Hasegawa usually takes part in fairs such as Premiere Vision in Paris, Pitti Filati in Florence, Japan Creation in Tokyo and the Yarn Fair in Ichinomiya.
