This brief post is directly connected to Monday and Tuesday's posts. This picture shows Michele De Lucchi's piece for Cleto Munari (included in the "Postmodernism" exhibition at London's Victoria & Albert Museum).
Michele De Lucchi is an architect and designer, founder of the aMDL Studio located in Milan and Rome. In 1987 Munari commissioned De Lucchi and other architects to design jewellery.
The pieces made by the 16 architects involved were collected in the book Jewelry by Architects: From the Collection of Cleto Munari (by Barbara Radice, Rizzoli, 1987) that features Mario Bellini, Peter Eisenman, Michael Graves, Hans Hollein, Arata Isozaki, Richard Meier, Alessandro Mendini, Paolo Portoghesi, Peter Shire, Ettore Sottsass, Stanley Tigerman, Oscar Tusquets, Robert Venturi, Lella Vignelli, and Marco Zanini. I would highly recommend the book to all those readers who, like me, have an interest in the fashion and architecture connection.
