As a follow up to yesterday's post about the Russian China exhibition at Moscow's State Museum of Oriental Art, I'm posting today this image focusing on headdresses and featuring the Korean "heukrip" and "jeongjagwan" - both come from the late 19th-20th century and are made with bamboo, horsehair, paper and lacquer.
I find difficult to say which one I prefer since, apart from their shapes, I think the materials employed to make them are very interesting and I'm sure some fashion students/designers preparing their catwalk shows may find them inspiring for headdresses/showpieces for their collections (this post is dedicated to my young friend Dima Shabalin, currently writing for a few Italian publications, studying journalism in Moscow and designing at the same time extravagant headpieces for performances).
