Yesterday’s post closed with Prada, so it seems logic doing a brief follow up that somehow takes the piss out of all the people I have seen walking around in Prada during the Venice Biennale press days.
If you’ve been following this blog for a while you will know that Prada is a tragicomic protagonist of my I.P.F.O. (Identified Pilfered Fashion Object) columns.
I must admit that I was already pretty chuffed with myself when I identified where Miuccia got the inspiration for the print for some of the designs from Prada’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection.
Then while walking around Venice, I spotted this humble boat in one of the canals and I cynically smiled at myself: its coloured PVC cover looks suspiciously similar to Prada’s stripy designs and shoes from the Spring/Summer 2011 collection.
Could it be that Miuccia spotted it as well while walking around Venice last year during one of her visits to finalise the deal for the new exhibition space at Ca’ Corner della Regina? Who knows, maybe that's what happened.
Yet if that's the case she should maybe start pilfering ideas – pardon, I mean "taking inspiration" – from more complicated places as I'm getting fed up with stumbling upon her "unique and original" sources of inspiration. Mind you, I admit that at least this humble boat makes a difference from Abramovich's monster yacht currently moored near Venice's Biennale Gardens...

How many archaeologists does it take to change a light bulb? Three. One to change it while the other two argue about how old the old one is.

When you consider employee recognition processes, you need to develop recognition that is equally powerful for both the organization and the employee.
