I was digging in my personal archive of vintage magazines since I wanted to post on the site some images about Easter fashion from the '50s or the '60s.
I managed to find this issue of Italian magazine Annabella from April 1955 that features inside an entire photo shoot about Easter fashion.
My favourite picture from this issue remains the cover.
The magazine suggested its readers to go to the shops and start picking fabrics (note: "fabrics" not "clothes"...) for the Easter/Spring/Summer wardrobe, opting for fun prints like the one used for this dress.
This fabric featured trompe l'oeil prints of pale blue and red Tyrolean ribbons (sorry the cover is in sepia...) but the magazine suggested to use real ribbons in the same colours for the trims (see the neckline and the waist) to create original effects.
Happy (1955 style) Easter!
