If I had to choose between politics and fashion I would definitely go for the former, even though I guess the darkest sides of fashion will always intrigue me.
Yet yesterday I saw in New York something hilariously wonderful that sort of seemed to mix politics and fashion in an amazing way.
The Banana Republic shop at the Palazzo d'Italia building on 626 Fifth Avenue seemed to be a perfect reference to the confusing political state Italy has been lying in since Silvio Berlusconi decided to turn it into his playground. I thought it was hilariously appropriate to read under the name of my home country the words "Banana Republic", I never thought the name of a brand could have been used in a better way to define a political condition. Well done!
