Rather than offering one vintage pattern as usual, this month we have two patterns – a dress and a coat – as some readers may have more time on their hands since many of us in different countries all over Europe are experiencing new Coronavirus lockdowns.
More expert readers may try and do both the designs, amateurs can instead pick the one they prefer and find easier to do (please don't think the coat is the difficult one as the back is not divided in two parts, but comes in just one piece, a detail that facilitates its construction). Both the designs are characterised by large pockets and well-defined round collars.
The magazine suggested to use fabrics such as plaid, tartan or check patterns for the dress, and to opt for Shetland wool, loden, tweed or camel for the coat.
