The Christmas celebrations are just around the corner and many of us may be busy putting the final touches to their preparations. So, for today, here's a quick post to read in between errands: this picture shows a fine architectural detail from a 1949 jacket by Rochas that looks genuinely timeless.

Characterised by a squarish yet misaligned silhouette, the cropped jacket (image from my personal archive of vintage Italian fashion magazines) featured a three button fastening detail on the back, and originally came in a thick woolen fawn beige fabric. Don't you think it looks more desirable than many modern designs from the current collections?
