The Archivio Collezione Marco Garzia appeared a while back on this site as the main provider of iconic black and white images for a few exhibitions I curated.
Yet the archive Director, Marco, is also a vintage collector and antiquarian and, as highlighted in another post, also hires props for films. So if you ever happen to be around Rome to do any shopping, you should maybe check him out if you're looking for rare or bizarre pieces (you can find out more about a fraction of the pieces he is hiring/renting/selling here).
I popped in a few weeks ago and got this French eyeglass frame. I found it rather interesting from an architectural point of view since it's completely foldable and when it's closed it has got a fascinatingly dynamic shape since the temple sticks wrap around the lenses, inspiring you to start playing with diagonal and variable frame structures.
I decided to renew the frame with some violet/rose tinted lenses to create a bit of a fun contrast with the rather classic tortoise shell frame.
