Romanian visual artist Olivia Mihaltianu appeared in this blog a while back in connection with an exhibition that referenced Michelangelo Antonioni.
This picture showing Olivia in a Western inspired costume relates instead to her new project that will be unveiled in Venice in September.
The project – mixing Spaghetti Western and Sergio Leone, Osterns (Westerns from the Eastern Block) in an ironic take à la Les Pétroleuses will be part of a wider exhibition that will involve artist and curator Anca Mihulet, critical fashion group Apparatus 22 (Dragos and Erika Olea, Maria Farcas and Olah Gyarfas) and, in a more marginal way, myself as well.
You'll have to watch this space to discover more about the exhibition. For the time being, I can tell you it will focus on different media combining together film, literature and fashion.
