Great Minds Think Alike

FashionFilm_IHT It’s amazing how sometimes admiration generates emulation.

In my case my admiration for Suzy Menkes even endowed me with the skills of predicting what she will write in her future articles.

In today’s International Herald Tribune there is a feature penned by Menkes that covers fashion and film, moving from Karl Lagerfeld’s Remember Now and the Lady Dior film and mentioning Style Star and The Leopard in Cannes as well.

All these themes – tackled in different posts in this blog – were very relevant last week, so, don’t worry, I’m not suggesting such an esteemed publication is copying me.

In fact I’m overjoyed by the fact that somebody finally mentioned Visconti’s The Leopard in conjunction with fashion on such an important publication.

While I'm here, let me take the opportunity to ask the International Herald Tribune (if anybody working there is reading this) to say that, hey, I’m available any time to write features or generate ideas (obviously you will have to pay me for that).

NB: For the International Herald Tribune sub-editor, please from now on remember that Fellini’s first name is spelt "Federico" and not "Frederico" (I'm also open to sub-editing positions, thanks).
