I mentioned Swedish designer Simon Ekrelius in a previous post on this blog in connection with some of the Autumn/Winter 2010 collections presented during London Fashion Week.
In that post I highlighted how Ekrelius first started working as a haute couture designer before launching his ready-to-wear line.
His collections still retain a sort of high fashion edge about them, though, and some of his designs can almost be classified as demi-couture.
A certain passion for Parisian haute couture can also be detected in the work of Bosnia-born but Stockholm-based designer Lamjia Suljevic, who recently launched a colourful collaboration with illustrator Krisatomic, enlisted to illustrate Suljevic's lookbook.
You can read more about the two designers in my interviews with Ekrelius and Suljevic on Dazed Digital.
