DeryckWalker_1 Among the Scottish designers who in the last few years managed to attract the attention of the fashion media thanks to their interesting creations there is also Deryck Walker.

The menswear designer studied at Glasgow School of Art, moved to London where he also worked for Boudicca and Robert Cary-Williams and, since 2008, he has also been developing womenswear designs.

All his creations have one main starting point, classic styles that he updates with little details or through clever alterations to the main cuts and silhouettes.

DW-Paris-16 Walker went back to Glasgow last year and he recently opened a shop-cum-studio above Princes Square.

The creative space is called Micro and also offers a made-to-measure tailoring service for women, while featuring partnerships with fellow Scottish designers, such as Noki and Jamie Bruski Tetsill and stylist Judy Blame.

Today Walker will be hosting a sale at Micro until 8pm with a 20% discount off garments including Deryck Walker for John Smedley and Harris Tweed and Judy Blame's accessories.

The shop also stocks the limited edition shirts Walker made in collaboration with Japanese Store Oricha, but you will have to rush if you want one of them as there are only ten available.

Deryck Walker's Micro, 3rd Floor, 1 Argyle Arcade, Glasgow G2 8BA.
