If you are a vintage addict and happen to be in Florence until Saturday, don’t miss the "Vintage Selection" event.
This is one of the biggest vintage clothing, accessories and designer object fairs that takes place in Italy every year.
The event, organised at the Stazione Leopolda and coinciding with the 65th edition of the textile trade show Pitti Filati, features around 50 exhibitors and offers the chance to find rare vintage pieces while exploring the history of fashion.
Though vintage fairs are usually dedicated to collectors and fashionistas, the "Vintage Selection" also attracts many stylists, designers and fashion professionals interested in finding fresh inspirations and ideas for their jobs.
The fair is organised in collaboration with Angelo Caroli of A.N.G.E.L.O. fame, portrayed in this picture while he shows me a Jean Patou dress at the previous vintage event that took place in June at the Dogana space in Florence, during the Pitti W_Woman Precollection event.
The "Vintage Selection N. 14" is at the Stazione Leopolda, Florence, until 11th July 2009.
