The tragedy of spending too much time following fashion catwalks/events/fairs/trade shows and doing interviews is not only the fact that you find yourself unable to update your blog as often as you would like. The worst thing is that you actually end up not having enough time to do any shopping.
Now "shopping" for me doesn’t mainly mean buying clothes and accessories, but books. I have a strange addiction for books of any kind, an addiction I developed since I was a young girl.
One of the first things I do when I'm away in another town is visiting the local bookshops.
Unfortunately, though, while I was in Florence for Pitti I was too busy to do a proper book expedition and I found myself almost in tears in front of this bookshop specialised in menswear volumes (it’s located near Piazza Ognissanti, at the corner between Piazza Carlo Goldoni and Borgo Ognissanti).
The shop seemed to have both new books and more specific volumes about tailoring houses, the history of men's fashion and fabrics and I honestly almost cried thinking about all the rare stuff I may have found inside (as you can see from the photograph, I wasn't the only one interested in the bookshop selection…).
