DSCF3239 Remember that previous post about Fred Butler? Well, I have great news about her: I've just got an email from Fred saying that her work is now available on sale in London.

Indeed her accessories went officially on sale yesterday at Kabiri. So the London-based population or those of you passing through England’s capital can maybe stop and admire/buy Fred’s piece from her A/W 09 collection at Kabiri in Marylebone High Street and Covent Garden and also in Selfridges.

DSCF3243 Entitled “Heliocentric Electric” the collection features three-dimensional origami-like headdresses and body pieces in silk fabrics (designed in collaboration with Brie Harrison) that form post-modernist architectural structures once worn on the body.

Fred decorated the shop windows to accompany the launch: Kabiri’s flagship store has a large print by Elisha Smith-Leverock (check out her photos of Fred's collection here) while for Selfridges Fred made a special black and yellow headpiece to fit in with the centenary colours.

You can keep up to date with Fred’s work on her blog. She is currently also guest blogger for one week only on It's Nice That.
